Principal Biologist

Mike Atkins, owner and operator of Trident Biological Consulting Ltd., founded the company in 2008 after taking an extended break from his career as a fisheries biologist to travel the world.
Mike brings over a decade of experience working for federal, provincial, and First Nations governments, and private corporations; conducting research, stock assessments, environmental impact assessments, and marine
resource development.
As well as being an accomplished biologist and diver, Mike is also a proud father, and an active member of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue- Station 27 Nanaimo
